Scholarships

The Georgia Flying Belles chapter just awarded three scholarships this Spring, totaling $10,000 with a fourth this fall 2025, in furtherance of flight training.

Eligibility: The Mueller Scholarship will be open only to active Georgia Flying Belles Chapter members. All applicants must be current members of The Ninety-Nines, Inc. international directory at the time of submitting their scholarship applications unless otherwise stated in the special conditions for a specific scholarship.

Scholarship application requirements:

▢ 2 letters of recommendation (one personal, one professional - aviation-related is highly preferred).

▢ Copy of your passport and/or driver’s license (front and back) with proof of citizenship or residency.

▢ Copies of all aviation certificates, including a current valid medical certificate (Basic Med, Class 1, 2, or 3). Include front and back.

▢ Resume (No more than 1 page).

▢ Copy of the last two pages of your pilot logbook. If you have not started flight training, please provide a statement that includes where and with whom you plan to train with, estimated timeline, and your instructors name and contact.

▢ Typed descriptive essay (see below for essay content requirements)

  • Essay: Please include an essay addressing the following: (1) tell us about yourself, your involvement in aviation, and your participation our chapter/Ninety-Nines, to include what you feel uniquely qualifies you for the scholarship for which you are applying, (2) your goals in aviation and what you have accomplished in pursuit of these goals thus far, (3) how the scholarship will support your advancement towards these goals, (4) how you have financed your training so far, if applicable, and your need for financial assistance going forward, (5) how awarding the scholarship to you will benefit the aviation community, including, but not limited to mentorship opportunities, (6) the flight school you plan on using, as well as the instructor’s name and contact information, (7) additional information applicable to the specific scholarship as detailed in the application form.

    Scholarship winner will be notified on or before September 1, 2025.

    All award money will be paid to the training institution or flight instructor. All training must be completed by September 30, 2026. Progress reports may be requested by the scholarship donor.

    Each scholarship is offered by an individual, organization or committee (collectively, the “scholarship donor”). The scholarship donor makes the final decision on the recipient of their scholarship. The Ninety-Nines, Inc. is in no manner responsible for scholarship award decisions or the administration of the scholarship funds.

    Neither The Ninety-Nines, Inc. nor their members, agents, or representatives, are responsible for the quality of any training received with this scholarship, nor for any accident, incident, or any other event that may occur while the recipient of this scholarship is performing flight training or activities relating thereto.

The Mueller Scholarship- $5,000 for a GAFB Chapter member towards any rating, certificate, or time building.
