2026 Scholarships

The Georgia Flying Belles Chapter of The Ninety-Nines is pleased to offer one scholarship in furtherance of flight training Fall 2026.

Past recipients are listed below and further information about each winner can be found on our social media.

The Fall 2026 scholarship will be for training towards a private pilot certificate.  Applicants may apply to any and all scholarships for which they qualify.

    Fall 2026 Scholarship Application Instructions

The Georgia Flying Belles Chapter of The Ninety-Nines is pleased to offer the following fall 2026 scholarship 

in furtherance of flight training 

Cleared for Takeoff Scholarship – $5,000 for any Ninety-Nines member towards a private pilot certificate or instrument rating

Eligibility: The Cleared for Takeoff Scholarship is open to all Ninety-Nines members. All applicants must be current members per the The Ninety-Nines, Inc. international directory at the time of submitting their scholarship applications.

Scholarship application requirements:

  • Completed Google scholarship application form, found HERE

  • One well-organized PDF file that includes the following elements in order:

  • One-page, aviation-focused resume

  • One-page essay discussing the following:

  • Your aviation journey, accomplishments, future goals, and unique qualifications

  • How this scholarship will help you accomplish your future goals

  • Your involvement in the 99s to date

  • How you plan to make an impact in the aviation community going forward

  • How you are currently meeting the costs of flight training and how the scholarship will assist you

  • Professional letter of recommendation, aviation-related preferred

  • Personal letter of recommendation, aviation-related preferred

  • One-paragraph description of your flight training plan and estimated timeline for using the funds

  • Images of the front and back of your student pilot or private pilot certificate

  • Image of signed medical certificate, left and right sides

  • Image of driver’s license or passport, as proof of citizenship

  • Image of knowledge test results for certificate/rating sought, if applicable

  • Image of logbook page including your most recent checkride or most recent BFR endorsement, if applicable

  • Images of last two pages of logbook

Application submission: Complete the Google form application by Wednesday, September 30, 2026, 5:00PM EDT. The Google form will prompt you to upload all documentation in one PDF file which must be named in the following format:  LastName_FirstName_GAFBFall2026.pdf. Please include your first and last name at the top of the essay and the flight training plan. The entire application will be considered for grammar, spelling, and overall organization and attention to detail. Scholarship winners will be notified by November 15, 2026. Finalists may be required to participate in a virtual interview.

Invoices and/or receipts from the flight school or instructor will be required to disburse scholarship funds. Funds must be used as intended by November 15, 2027. Progress reports may be requested by the scholarship donor. 

Each scholarship is offered by an individual, organization or committee (collectively, the “scholarship donor”). The scholarship donor makes the final decision on the recipient of their scholarship. The Ninety-Nines, Inc. is in no manner responsible for scholarship award decisions or the administration of the scholarship funds. 

Neither The Ninety-Nines, Inc. nor their members, agents, or representatives, are responsible for the quality of any training received through this scholarship, nor for any accident, incident, or any other event that may occur while the recipient of this scholarship is performing flight training or activities relating thereto. 

Scholarship applications are due by Wednesday, September 30, 2026, 5:00PM EDT
